InspectionWare Release Build: Version 12.509.0 (64 bit) | Build Note: Rescan Lines on Alarm is no longer allowed in a 2D Scan with the Point by Point Motion Pattern or External Motor Control, where it cannot rescan a line. New Features: (1) Added TD Focus Waveform Channel.Low Output Probe, which improves the signal-to-noise ratio of low output probes on Gen 3 TD Focus instruments. (2) Object.Remove Unused Equations() now reports the equations it removed in Removed Equations and how many in Removed Equation Count. (3) Added Configure Box Annotations setup script to Label Indications, which builds an Indications Data and Indications Data Annotations that draw each labelled indication as a box. (4) Added Configure Rotated Rectangle Annotations setup script to Label Indications, which measures each indication with an Indication Orientation 2D and draws it as a rectangle at the angle it was measured at. (5) Added Source Node property to Data Viewer, enabling portable layouts and improved node referencing. (6) Message Logger.Ignore Duplicate Errors now counts a repeated message on its existing row however many other messages were logged in between. (7) Added Diagnostic Message Log.Show Captured Messages, which also logs the errors that were expected and kept back, such as those a disabled node raises when it is compiled to set it up. (8) Added Diagnostic Message Log.Hide Consequences, which counts an error that followed from an earlier error on the row of that earlier error, so the log lists the causes. (9) Added Diagnostic Message Log.Ignore Duplicate Errors, and Operation and Caused By columns to the log's table. (10) Added Extruded Cross Section option to Weld Profile's Piece Type. (11) Added Problems List, which lists the objects that have an error or a warning right now, with the causes ahead of what followed from them. (12) An object in the tree that is fine itself now shows a small dot when an object inside it has an error or a warning. (13) Added Expect Diagnostics, a test node that declares an error the following steps are meant to cause, so that the error does not fail the test. (14) Diagnostics Should Log now marks the messages it finds as expected and leaves them in the logs, and no longer passes on the failure message of its own earlier run. (15) A device that a test machine does not have, such as a Galil controller or a UT340, now records a warning on the device when a test tries to connect it, instead of nothing. (16) Added Web Msg Router and Serve Web Page, which show a workspace's served properties, tasks, tables and data, and its desktop panels and Data Viewers, in a web browser on this computer or across the network. (17) A task run from a menu, a button, a hot key or a remote call is now logged as a User task operation, so an error the task logs after a node it ran failed is recorded as a consequence of that failure. (18) Selecting an Image on a GUI control now pops up the image library browser, instead of a long dropdown. (19) Added Diagnostics Log.Message Count, the number of rows the log holds after folding duplicates and hiding consequences, so a Properties Should Be can check what a run logged. (20) Added Tooltip Image support to controls and layouts. (21) Added Rotated Cross Section to Weld Profile. (22) Conditional Pause now shows Conditional Pause.Message Title and Conditional Pause.Message in the Scan Paused and Execution Paused dialogs when Prompt is on. (23) Added Move To Library task to Workspace Archive, which moves an archive and all its versions into another existing Workspace Library. (24) Added Nozzle primitive. (25) Add tasks now have Icons. (26) Added Weld Regions to Weld Profile. Weld Annotation draws each Weld Region in different colours. (27) Added tasks to make Weld Zones and Weld Regions definable by the user. Bug Fixes: (1) Fixed a Data Plot moved to another output, for example with Data Plot.Next Subset() or Data Plot.Previous Subset(), keeping the swapped orientation of the output it showed before, so a Sweep Correction A-scan shown after its Corrected Scan was drawn vertically. (2) Fixed the Beam Tool Control reporting a Beam Tool start-up error it had already recovered from. (3) Fixed the Beam Tool Control's Invoke BeamToolView Method(), Set BeamToolView Property() and Get BeamToolView Property() tasks reporting an empty error after the Beam Tool host exited. (4) Fixed Finger Print Report's Auto Test Report and Compare Report keeping earlier errors and leaving the workspace result unset, and Compare Columns compiling with empty or identical column names. (5) Fixed Int8 and UInt8 table columns coming back as text when a workspace is reopened. (6) Fixed Table Should Match passing on wrong text, bool and date values, which it only checked the type of. (7) Fixed test nodes showing the errors of an earlier run, so a passing test could still look failed. (8) Fixed values that do not fit in 32 bits, such as an Int64 or UInt64 column, being truncated when set through a parameter set. (9) Fixed a test that never ran being reported as passed. (10) Fixed text in variant data, such as an indications label or a unit written with a micro or degree sign, reading back as unreadable characters that differed from one machine to the next. (11) Fixed a font whose face name is written with non-ASCII characters, such as a Greek or Japanese font name, reading back with an unreadable name when the font was stored in the older narrow form. (12) Fixed calculating an indications column that holds text, single-precision or 64-bit numbers replacing its values with a truncated whole number. (13) Fixed the Range merging method for indications columns giving the largest value a whole-number column can hold instead of the range between its sources. (14) Fixed the Scale Column and Clamp Column tasks doing nothing to a column that is not held as a 32-bit whole number or a floating point number. (15) Fixed Set Properties Script, Execute Object Script and property equations failing with "Failed to execute" when a function's argument contained another function call, such as max(min(3, 7), 0.5), or a comma inside a table index or quoted text. (16) Fixed C Sharp Compiler nodes failing with error CS2007, and User Defined Nodes then reporting "Failed to create class", when a workspace was opened while the C# compiler was still starting. (17) Fixed C Sharp Compiler.Add Source From File() closing InspectionWare when the file did not exist. (18) Fixed C Sharp Compiler.Compiler Version and C Sharp Compiler.Language Version staying empty when a workspace was closed while the C# compiler was still starting. (19) Fixed Compare Tables and other test nodes reporting equal Int8 and UInt8 values as different. (20) Fixed IWDataObject.GetRawLineData() and GetRawAvailableData() in C# reporting text data as System.String and bool data as System.Boolean, which the raw buffer does not hold; both now return raw bytes. (21) Fixed IWDataObject.GetRawLineData() in C# returning the size of a single point instead of the whole line for complex, variant, structure and GUID data. (22) Fixed InspectionWare staying open without a window when it was closed while a C Sharp Compiler node was compiling. (23) Fixed VB Compiler nodes failing to compile with error BC2014. (24) Fixed a Part Follower on a probe with a Wedge reopening with Part Follower.Axis 1 Position and Part Follower.Axis 2 Position off by the wedge's offset, so the first change to either one moved the probe along the part. (25) Fixed the installer failing to remove the current version while InspectionWare or its C# compiler was still running from the folder that version is installed in. (26) Fixed the installer failing to uninstall the current version, and so failing to install, while an AI client such as Claude Code had InspectionWare MCP bridges running from the install folder. (27) Fixed Grid Control.Get Row For Column Value() and Variables.Set Current Row By Column Value() never finding a value in a UInt32 column. (28) Fixed Object.Copy Object Properties() copying nothing when its Refresh parameter was false. (29) Fixed Object.Copy Object Properties() reporting success when its Source Object could not be found or its parameters were cancelled. (30) Fixed Object.Copy Object Properties() setting Probe Configuration.Index For First Element to -1 when it copied a probe into a digitizer with Channels Are Zero Ordered set, so the probe numbered its elements from -1 and a plane wave sweep built from it started at element -1. (31) Fixed Object.Remove Unused Equations() removing, and Object.Show Unused Equations() listing, the equations of properties an object leaves out of its property list for its current settings, such as Generic Total Focuser.Max Wall Thickness while Variable Wall Thickness is off. (32) Fixed Object.Remove Unused Equations() removing, and Object.Show Unused Equations() listing, the equations of properties that are only hidden, such as Total Focuser.Max Wall Thickness while Variable Wall Thickness is off. (33) Fixed Serialize Objects.File Info leaving Type In File empty, so that Serialize Objects.Enable Serialize If Exists In File() and Serialize Objects.Enable Serialize If Matches File() could turn serializing off for objects that were in the file. (34) Fixed disabled nodes, and nodes in a disabled branch, logging errors such as "Input data object was not found" each time they were compiled, which test sequences then counted as failures. (35) Fixed diagnostic messages being lost when several threads logged at the same time. (36) Fixed a crash when a C# script writes to the console from an object that no longer exists in the workspace. (37) Fixed Total Focuser.Optimize Plane Wave Sweep(), Total Focuser.Calibrate Velocity() and Total Focuser.Calibrate Wall Thickness() logging a "Maps link skipped" error for every candidate they tried when the focuser's maps were linked to another Total Focuser. (38) Fixed an enabled node reporting no errors when its compile was started by a disabled node. (39) Fixed a Total Focuser linked through Total Focuser.Linked Maps Source dropping the link with a "beam angles or delays differs" error, and computing its own maps, after the workspace was reopened and only one of the two linked beam sets was rebuilt. (40) Improved error handling and reporting for CVariablesArray.SetVariableName(). (41) Fixed bug where Navigation Tree Item's status icon and active icon displayed on the left instead of right of the item. (42) Fixed Serve Properties not sending properties that refresh the property list when Send When Changed is set. (43) A Sequence's message that a step failed to execute is now recorded as a consequence of the step's own error, so Diagnostics Log.Hide Consequences shows the step's error on one row and Caused By names it on the Sequence's row. (44) Run Keras Model now says that its source data has no images instead of failing to compile without a message. (45) With Ignore Duplicate Errors on, different errors that a C# script or an Execute Task reports for one object now get rows of their own instead of replacing each other on one row. (46) Contour Axis.Go To Contour() now honours Wait Until Stopped. (47) Fixed a Motion Axis with Electronic Gearing reporting "Cannot link axes because of a problem in a slave axis" when a workspace loads. (48) Motion Axis.Go To() now honours Wait Until Stopped. (49) Fixed a 2D Scan stopping at the first line where Rescan Lines on Alarm tripped, instead of rescanning the line and carrying on. (50) Fixed Conditional Pause in a sequence leaving InspectionWare unresponsive until the spacebar was pressed, instead of showing the Execution Paused dialog or waiting to be resumed. (51) Fixed an unhandled exception when opening a workspace over one whose User Interface had controls showing its objects, after which later workspaces could also fail to open. (52) Fixed Goto starting motion axes that were not part of the move when Goto.Coordinated Move was turned on, such as disconnected or disabled axes, or an axis on another motion controller with the same channel number. (53) Fixed a Contour Axis waiting forever in Wait Until Stopped when one of its slave axes was stopped, for example at a software limit. (54) Fixed a Motion Axis that was past one of its software limits being stopped as soon as it was moved back toward the allowed range. (55) Fixed a Simulated Encoder Channel starting at wherever an earlier workspace left its channel instead of at its Saved Position. (56) Fixed the slave axes of an Electronic Gearing staying geared in the motion controller after its workspace was closed or the Electronic Gearing was deleted, which made them follow the master's channel in later workspaces. (57) Fixed a Contour Axis's Software Limits Reached event never running at its low software limit, and its software limit events running while it moved away from a limit. (58) Fixed copying an Electronic Gearing, or the Motion Axis that holds it, unlinking the original's slave axes in the motion controller while the original still showed Electronic Gearing.Slaves Linked. (59) Fixed Total Focuser outputs staying empty after reopening saved scan data, with every Total Focuser reporting that no Probe Configuration was available, including for data files saved before this fix. (60) Fixed opening a data file moving the motion axes of a Simulated UT Device: any axis set to None or Timer was removed, so a motion axis chosen for Simulated UT Device.Axis 2 moved to Axis 1 and later scans recorded their positions against a timer. (61) Fixed the UTWedge parameter set ignoring Wedge Roof Angle when set, so a conventional wedge written through it always came out with no roof angle although the set reported one. (62) Fixed InspectionWare crashing when a sequence or Execute Task was deleted while it ran, for example when an On Control Event's Execute Task rebuilt the Data Viewer holding it after a right-click. (63) Fixed a Data Viewer reporting Source not found while its panes were showing data, for example when its selected pane showed a Simulation. (64) Fixed Ctrl + C, Ctrl + V and Ctrl + A in a Grid Control sometimes opening the selected cell for editing instead of copying, pasting or selecting everything, most often when copying a large grid selected by clicking its top-left corner.
