InspectionWare Release Build: Version 12.499.0 (64 bit)

Latest Release Notes

Build Note:

SonoAir 2.0 Device: Trigger Threshold has moved off the device to SonoAir 2 A Scans.Trigger Threshold and must be set again in existing workspaces.

New Features:

(1) Renamed task Configure Plane Wave Sweep to Plane Wave Sweep.

(2) Added DICOM Data.Add Context Item(), which stores a titled value that other DICOM programs display by name.

(3) Displayed annotations are now saved in exported DICOM files and restored when the file is reopened.

(4) Diagnostic messages are now held in a Diagnostics Log that can be added to a workspace, and any Diagnostics view or Message Logger shows the log it is pointed at.

(5) Find Objects now lists what it found in a Find Results table giving each object's message and path, with Flash Source and a node tree view of the results.

(6) Added Object Tasks.Find Objects(), Object Tasks.Find Data For Slot() and Object Tasks.Find Addable Nodes() for searching an object tree and matching data against a node's requirements.

(7) Added Object Tasks.Find Objects(), Object Tasks.Find Matching Data Slot() and Object Tasks.Find Addable Nodes() for searching an object tree and matching data against a node's requirements.

(8) Added autocomplete for object-path property edits.

(9) Added PipeStdioBridge.exe to the installer.

(10) Added support for parameter property keys in equations.

(11) Search specifications can now test whether an object offers a task, using the HasTask operand.

(12) Added DICOM Data.Add Private Creator Tag(), which reserves a block of private tags for an identification code of your own.

(13) ALOK import now outputs Peaks subset for Decompress Ascan.

(14) Added Compressed Ascan Gate, which gates data compressed by Compress Ascan or imported from GE NuScan ALOK files to give amplitude and time of flight C-Scans.

(15) Improved Plane Wave Sweep configuration.

(16) Added Extract Ascan connection to Compressed Ascan Gate.

(17) Improved installer handling of running app instances.

(18) FMC Health Check now reports its results in a table, with one row per checked scan position and a per-element verdict over the whole scan.

(19) Added Monitor Assembly Folders task to C Sharp Compiler, so replacing a referenced assembly on disk marks the code to be compiled again.

(20) Added Validate References task to C Sharp Compiler, which lists every version conflict between the References and Workspace References in a Reference Report table, and replaces an out of date assembly when Update Stale Assemblies is turned on.

(21) Added BackMiddle and FrontMiddle rays to Surface Follower.

(22) Added interface triggering to Compressed Ascan Gate.

(23) Compressed Ascan Gates follow the standard gate colors and names.

(24) SonoAir 2.0 Device: added Idle Trigger Mode property to set the trigger source, replacing the Set Trigger Mode task.

Bug Fixes:

(1) Fixed a bug where an NDE file failed to open if it was missing status or firing source data that its setup listed.

(2) Fixed property lists leaving a blank line under the last property and showing a scroll bar when every property already fitted.

(3) Fixed a bug where a search specification using NameContains! matched every object instead of excluding the ones that contain the text.

(4) Fixed a Total Focuser whose travel time maps are linked to another Total Focuser sometimes recomputing its own maps instead of reusing the linked ones.

(5) Fixed dropping a processor onto a digitizer timeslot being wrongly refused for an unknown data element type or a missing beam set.

(6) Fixed the Total Focuser and SAFT 2 reconstructing from the wrong points when their travel time maps were sized to different grids.

(7) Fixed processors leaving part of a scan unprocessed when some scan positions held no data.

Overview

This document contains a downloadable Windows installer for InspectionWare as well as the release notes covering the current version.

Software requirements

  • Operating system: Windows 10 or 11. The latest Windows updates must be installed.
  • InspectionWare 12 ships as a 64-bit application. 32-bit builds are produced only occasionally.
  • .NET Framework 4.8 or later is required. If it is not already installed, click here to download and install it.

Hardware requirements
  • CPU: A processor supporting the AVX2 instruction set is required. This includes 2013-or-later Intel processors and 2015-or-later AMD processors. (List of supported CPUs.) InspectionWare will not install or run on a CPU without AVX2.
  • GPU (optional, for accelerated processing): InspectionWare provides two GPU acceleration backends:
    • DirectX — any GPU supporting DirectX 11 (feature level 11_0) or later, from AMD, Intel, or NVIDIA. A CPU-based software fallback (WARP) is also available when no compatible GPU is present.
    • CUDA — an NVIDIA GPU with architecture ≥ Turing (e.g. RTX 2060, Quadro RTX, T4) and NVIDIA driver ≥ 576.02. NVIDIA GPUs older than Turing (e.g. Pascal / GTX 10-series) are not supported by the CUDA backend.
